05 Jan 2022 a Happier You
We made it to 2022! The new Year is a new start and it can give us the push we need to set goals, create better habits and try to break bad ones. The reason I say ‘try’ is a lot of people start well but it doesn’t end well, I’m included.
Sticking to your goals and changing your priorities this year can help you stick to the plan you set. Here are some handy pointers on how to set goals and break them down into smaller steps.
1 Stop setting massive goals, simplify
We all hit the ground running and take on too much. It is so much easier to stick to your goals when you’re not feeling overwhelmed, when you have just a few goals you can focus on exactly what you want to achieve.
Simplify your goals and make them easier to remember. Set a time schedule if needed and steps. Make sure to Congratulate yourself when you reach each milestone. This will help keep you motivated and on track.
2. Keep your mind open, adapt and be flexible.
Sometimes when we set a plan or a goal things can change in life. Look at Covid 19 and how that affected the whole world and it is still here. We have had no choice but to adapt and change our plans! likewise, if you set new goals and things happen in life that is out of your control, be flexible.
3 Be thankful and humble
There is nothing better in the world than someone saying thank you. It’s just eight letters but it packs a mighty punch, would you agree? likewise be thankful for what you have, where you are, and where you’re going. This forward-thinking will allow you to keep negative situations that you can control at bay, and stay on track to what you want to achieve.
4. Remember where you were, and why you started
Always remember what you gained by starting your goal. Reflecting on how far you have come will help motivate you to keep going. If you can find a way to document your goal, a photo a week if you are trying to lose weight. Writing down your goal can help you remember why you started the journey.
You are able to do anything you put your mind to. You are unique, one of a kind! And don’t let life get in the way and take It from that from you.
I want to wish you the very best for 2022. If there is anything we can do to help, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
