Some background on the day known as 4/20: In 1971 in California five schoolchildren used the term 4/20 pronounced four-twenty was a word used to describe a place growing Cannabis.

The five school children made a plan to meet every day at 4:20 pm to discuss how they were going to use a map that a grower gave them where these Cannabis crops were growing around their area. After many attempts, the teens failed to move forward and find the locations on their treasure map. After this, the term 4/20 became a popular word within the California cannabis community and now the world.
